Meet Mouzi, Missnah, their children and a whole lotta wonderful people who work six days a week in Kuala Lumpur at this dee-lish family-owned moist cake bakery!  I fell so coo coo in love with their cakes that I talked them into letting me work (well, mostly eat cake) at the bakery one morning.  This vlog is my experience starting from my 5:15am wakeup to our shift working behind-the-scenes.  It ends shopping for the actual ooey gooey yummy (rich, moist!) cake we made in my neighbourhood of Hampshire Park and trying it at home with my lovely friend Stacey. Kuala Lumpur Street Food Near Petronas Tower – Kairol Cooks Up Tang Yuan & Fried Banana

After travelling all around and now living in Malaysia for the past 1 year, I have finally tried the decadently naughty fried street food truck just a short walk from Petronas Tower and DAMN it was tasty!  Check it out, sweet and savoury treats for any palette, and not at all spicy really (which surprised me). This is Kairol’s truck, just off Jalan Ampang in Hampshire Park, the new neighbourhood I just moved into and am already feeling very much at home. (more…)

Kuala Lumpur Street Food at Malaysia’s Largest Night Market Taman Connaught in Cheras

After living in Kuala Lumpur for a couple of months now, I finally spent an absolutely fun evening eating, drinking, and shopping at Pasar Malam Taman Connaught 康乐夜市, Malaysia’s largest Night Market in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.  The Street Food was an EXCITING mix of Malaysian, Chinese, and Indian with countless stalls cooking and selling things like giant squid, stinky tofu, black dumplings, steaming ice cream, Hello Kitty cakes …. and so much more.
