A Week of Moon Cakes & Passion Fruit in Kuala Lumpur

This was a fabulous week in my world, discovering moon cakes after all these years in Asia … and finding SWEET passion fruit finally in Malaysia (woohoo!).

The moon cake I was gifted from my sweet friend Li Kim was made of lotus seeds and with a salted duck egg inside to symbolise the moon during the Mid-Autumn festival.

A mooncake is a Chinese bakery product eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival in appreciation of the moon and lunar watching.  These little golden delicacies are are delicious and such a wonderful tradition.

I’m Angela, I’ve been living in Kuala Lumpur the past 18 months and love sharing moments from my life here 🙂

By the way, this vlog was shot on my new Leica-VLUX and the focus and clarity is amazing, check it out. I am still not mastering my cams settings so you’ll see I get surprised a couple of times when it re-focuses haha

XOXO Angela

At 21 I left uni, jumped into my Jeep Wrangler, and drove from my native California to live an adventure in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I've explored 37 countries on 4 continents, residing in 8 of them (currently Indonesia's Riau Islands is my home). I even have a private pilot's license and was shot at once by bandits!
